The Corporate Treasury Business in the Private Companies Group at our client’s company has set up a new dedicated origination team in 2022. The team is an essential driver for our client’s ambitious growth plan. The team will be responsible for identifying and making first contact new-to-bank companies in the UK.
The six new team members, made up of a mix of banking, non-banking, sales, and non-sales backgrounds were asked to prepare a Job description for the role to give as insightful a description of the opportunity as possible.
Below is the role as described by the team:
Join a strategic sales team geared around foreign exchange risk solutions. As part of a robust growth plan for the Private Companies Treasury Team. You will be actively engaged with connecting with C-level executives to actively consult with them on their company’s needs from a risk management perspective.
Our client is an agile, entrepreneurial bank, with a rich history and culture. Who look at working with some of the most exciting fast-growing companies in the UK. Searching for individuals who can adopt our high touch approach to banking.
Active engagement with prospects:
Looking to promote the brand and its values, acting as an ambassador for the corporate treasury team, looking at a range of UK companies. Front office style of role being client facing, personable and willing to engage with clients around the corporate treasury offering.
Research and identifying high propensity clientele:
Creating and managing your own funnel of leads including self-sourced leads from initial engagement through to booking meetings.
Staying up to date on market trends to ensure prospects are well informed (excellent commercial awareness).
Being able to explain how current events can move the market and why that matters to businesses in a simple and efficient manner.
Hitting KPI’s – High pace, high touch:
Working closely within the sales team to originate leads across a range of different sectors. From research to first contact all the way through to booking meetings with the sales team. All the while putting the client’s needs at heart to help them achieve their growth goals.
